Today Mike and I are settling on our very first home together! This has been a crazy journey but a very exciting one!

Once we get the keys we are moving some of our little stuff in today with a few car loads full of our things!

We are planning a celebratory picnic for lunch and maybe even a dip in our new POOL!!!!!

We also have a few errands to run to get some essentials! I never thought a grocery trip would be so fun!!

Our big move is Friday with friends and family helping! This week sure is an exciting one!!!! 🙂

Workout plan for the week!

What a fun weekend I had!!! Here are some shots from it!

Packing, cookout and bonfire, house shopping, family game night with Sparky!

This week is yet another crazy one because we are MOVING!!!!! I’ve been packing up a storm. You never know how much you have (I am a serious pack rat apparently!) until you pull it out to move! Looks like this weekend it will take longer than I expected! Ha!!!

With a busy week, I did want to make a point to get my regular exercise in!

M- elliptical and arm burner
T-Kettelbell DVD
W-elliptical and lower body
Th-elliptical and upper body
F-MOVING DAY lifting ALL the boxes!

Hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂

What I ate Wednesday!

Hi there! How bout some Sparky cuteness to start your day!

He was very happy to be done with the vet last night! He had a good report!

I’m finding it helpful to document my eats more to keep me more accountable. Below are my meals from yesterday!

For breakfast I had a recovery smoothie with protein powder, almond milk, a banana, and some frozen berries. This was the perfect post workout smoothie after my Yoga Meltdown DVD!

I forgot to take a picture of my snacks but i had some broccoli and carrots with Mediterranean hummus from Trader Joes!

Lunch was a salad with grilled chicken just like yesterday but this time I had lite Caesar dressing!

Ancient Grains chips on the side!

These were a BJ’s wholesale club find. I really like them. They remind me of sun chips!

Dinner was another Trader Joe’s creation!

Saucy scallops! I served this over brown rice and some more peas for extra greens!

Dessert was a few peanut MMs that went unpictured. I couldn’t resist!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday tangents

Hi there! How’s your day going? I’m so happy to be home and back in a routine! I’m glad to be home and seek family and getting back into work!

Some tangents for ya because it’s Tuesday and because I’m thinking of a billion things right now!

-My mom and I went house shopping last night for odds and ends. We needed sheets, towels, pot holders, rugs, etc. there’s a ten dollar off home goods at target this week! Use it! I got cute stuff for great deals! Love me some Target.

– I grabbed broccoli slaw at Trader Joes Sunday for some crunch in my salads this week. Verdict? Like it a lot. It’s a fun new flavor and texture!

-I’m loving the girl time I had with my momma last night. I’m really go into miss that so much when I move out. She is my best friend. I just love her!

-how precious is this puppy. Mike’s brother just bought a dog yesterday and it inspired me to look. What a lover!

-Etsy has been a lifesaver. My mom has found the most adorable things for our engagement party there and it is definitely getting the wheels turning for me to make decisions!

-Spark has a vet appointment tonight. I’m going to give him some extra cuddles because he will certainly be upset after he gets his shots!

Off to start my day with some pre work yoga!!!!

I’m back!

I am finally back after about a week from blogging! I was off enjoying myself in the lovely Outer Banks in North Carolina. We had such a nice time with family and friends!

I’m so glad to be back and get into somewhat of a routine. By the end of this month *fingers crossed* Mike and I will officially be homeowners and be able to move into our new house. I’m so excited for this next chapter in our lives together but this sure does bring a lot of work! Packing up my life has been kinda crazy and emotional!

One routine I am excited to get back into is working out! Last week’s workouts consisted of some long walks, elliptical, and rest days in the beach!

This week I have a more concrete plan!

Mon- elliptical and arm burner x2
Tues- biking and yoga meltdown
Wed- elliptical and abs
Thurs- spinning class
Fri-elliptical and lower body blast
Sat- long walk with my Mom!

Have a wonderful start to your week! I hope it is a great day!

Vacation mode!

I am in vacation mode! Today is my last day of work before we leave for a week long beach vacation in OBX! I’m ready for some tanlines and fun!

The vacation fun really starts today though! I have excitement pumping through my veins because my best friend is going to become a mom today! I couldn’t be happier for her and her new family!

After work today we are also going to dinner with my parents, Mike, and our friend to catch up and have a nice happy hour dinner at my favorite outdoor bar and grill!

Tonight will be all about packing up the car, running last minute errands, and getting to bed early! Rumor has it we are leaving at the crisp hour of 4 am. I already called sleeping in the back seat… Sorry Mike! Driver is you! I also am formally putting in my request now for a pit stop at Dunkin for a large iced coffee…mmmmmm!!!!!!

I finished some last minute prep last night by packing snacks (love the almond butter packets), making notes for myself (don’t forget the pulled pork in the freezer, lol), painting my nails and toes, and packing up my toiletries! I think I am ready!

What is your ‘must complete’ before your vacation is finished?

Mine is stop at Cracker Barrel! 🙂
